Raipur – In a bid to provide numerous digitally linked government services,the villages of Kohkameta,Sonpur and Basing of Abhujmad have been connected with internet through the installation of V-SAT. It is worth mentioning that the grand campaign of paddy procurement has been started in Chhattisgarh from November 1. The state government has ensured all the necessary facilities so that farmers do not face any problem in selling paddy. With the changing times of this digital era, farmers have also been given the facility of selling paddy through Tokens system under the Tuhar Haath ‘App’.
Senior officers have been deployed for quick redressal of problems related to paddy sale. Similarly,to facilitate the functioning of paddy selling and other government related services, Narayanpur district administration has started a digital initiative by providing high speed internet facility through V-SAT in remote Vananchal villages of Kohkameta, Sonpur and Basing.
It is worth mentioning that Narayanpur is a hilly terrain area where network problems persist, and to eradicate the problem of connectivity, service centres with internet facilities are being set up in the panchayats of the remote region of Abhujmad under the guidance of the Narayanpur Collector and the district administration. Three such panchayats have been selected in the district. The parts where paddy procurement has started without any internet facility at present will be connected with internet through V-SAT after which CSC work will be possible here full time.
Through CSC, the documentation works such as income, caste, and residence certificates is also going on in these Panchayats. Previously,the villagers of these areas had to reach the block and district headquarters for such works. Due to this problem, the collector has given instructions to mark such villages and connect them with V-SAT.
After talking to the farmers of the villages, he told that with the installation of V-SAT the farmers of the village will now be able to get the benefits of numerous other schemes of the state government, including getting paddy tokens. Apart from this, public services will be easily available to the citizens. Aadhaar registration centers will also be started in the villages, through which the villagers will also get the facility of Aadhaar registration and correction.
