Raipur/Today, Chief Minister Mr. Bhupesh Baghel inaugurated the newly formed Mohla-Manpur-Ambagarh-Chowki district and unveiled the district map. Addressing the people of the newly formed district, he congratulated all people of the newly formed district and announced Rs.3 crore for the development of all three blocks of the district. He said, “Rajnandgaon was a big district, someone living in the remotest area of the district was unable to reach headquarters before evening, but now all these problems have been solved. It seems from the crowd that people are happy with the decision of the government and it will benefit people”.
He further said, “Chhattisgarh Mahatari ke kora ma nawa zila jud ge hai( a new district now has been added in Chhattisgarh)”. He said that people living in the remote village had to travel even 170 km to reach district headquarters and if needed they had to stay overnight at Rajnandgaon. Now, this distance has been reduced to only 70 km distance and the difficulties of the people have also been solved. He unveiled the statue of Chhattisgarh Mahtari and the statue of the Late Lal Shyam Shah. He further said that we have fulfilled our ancestors’ dreams.
The Chief Minister said that farmers’ loans have been waived off and they have been paid a fair price for their crops. Our government worked for people of all sections so that they live with dignity. Corona caused so much trouble, but we fought bravely. We have provided reasonable rates for minor forest produce. We worked to put money in everyone’s pocket. We respect every farmer who indulges in producing food for the country.
He further said that we have started Swami Atmanand Excellent English Medium School in the state. There will be 4 to 5 such schools in each assembly. We started to give holiday on World Tribal Day. We worked for our cultural dignity. The irrigation system has to be improved in the Rajnandgaon district. The purpose of the formation of a new district is to resolve the people’s problems immediately and the fast-paced development work for the people can be done easily.
The Chief Minister said, “I will come to you soon. I will stay here at night. I will talk to you in detail and development decisions will be taken there immediately. On the occasion, the Chief Minister also introduced the new district collector Mr. S. Jayawardhan and SP Mr. Y. Akshay Kumar to the people. The newly appointed collector also expressed gratitude to the Chief Minister on behalf of the people of the district.
Addressing the people, Forest Minister Mr.Mohammad Akbar extended his best wishes to the people on the inauguration of the new district. He said that the Chhattisgarh Government takes care of the interests of all sections of society and plans have also been made for this. The development of the state has accelerated through NYAY schemes. Food Minister Mr.Amarjeet Singh Bhagat said that Chhattisgarh has the lowest unemployment rate in the country. About 80 per cent of the people of the state are farmers. A fair price has been paid for their hard work. Khujji MLA Mrs. Chhani Sahu and Mohla-Manpur MLA Mr. Inder Shah Mandavi thanked the Chief Minister for dedicating the new district and proposed various development plans for the area. Collector Doman Singh presented the report. In this, he apprised the profile details of the new district.
On this historic occasion, the Chief Minister inaugurated the development works worth Rs.106 crore and performed Bhoomi Pujan. On this occasion, Dongargaon MLA Mr. Daleshwar Sahu, Dongargarh MLA Mr. Bhuneshwar Baghel, Gundardehi MLA Mr. Kunwar Nishad, Chairman of Mineral Development Corporation Mr. Girish Dewangan, Chief Secretary Mr. Amitabh Jain, Additional Chief Secretary Mr. Subrat Sahu, Divisional Commissioner Mr. Mahadev Kanwre, IG Mr. Badrinarayan Meena and other officials were present.
